Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VerifyAnAgent website and the verification pages we publish (together, the “Service”), operated by VerifyAnAgent, a product of WakimWorks (“VerifyAnAgent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What VerifyAnAgent is — and is not

VerifyAnAgent aggregates publicly available insurance-licensing information — such as records maintained by state Departments of Insurance and the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) — and presents it in a single, consistent format that links back to the official source. We do not create licensing data, and we do not issue, grant, or revoke licenses.

We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any state or federal government, any Department of Insurance, or NIPR. A verification page is a convenience, not an official government record.

2. No warranty; verify with the official source

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. While we take reasonable steps to present accurate, current information sourced from public records and agent submissions, we do not guarantee that any information is accurate, complete, or up to date. Licensing status can change at any time. Before relying on any credential, you should confirm it yourself using the official state Department of Insurance link provided on each page.

3. Not professional advice or an endorsement

The Service is informational only. Nothing on VerifyAnAgent is legal, financial, or insurance advice, and the presence of an agent's page is not a recommendation, endorsement, or guarantee of that agent, their conduct, or any product or service they offer. Any dealings you have with an agent are solely between you and that agent.

4. Verification pages

Each verification page reflects the information available at the time it was prepared and most recently reviewed. We may update, suspend, or remove a page at any time — for example, if an agent's license lapses, is suspended, or is revoked, or at an agent's request. Agents are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit to us.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity;
• copy, scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Service by automated means, or use the Service to build a competing dataset;
• interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; or
• use information from the Service to harass, defraud, or harm any person.

6. Intellectual property

The Service's design, text, graphics, logos, and the compilation and presentation of information are owned by VerifyAnAgent / WakimWorks and are protected by applicable law. The underlying public licensing data is in the public domain and remains available from its official sources. You may view and share verification pages, but you may not reproduce or repurpose the Service's original content without permission.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on and links to third parties — including official state Department of Insurance portals, the NIPR registry, Stripe (payments), and scheduling tools. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or services, which are governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VerifyAnAgent, WakimWorks, and their owners and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or any information it presents. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VerifyAnAgent and WakimWorks from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [STATE].
