Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VerifyAnAgent (“VerifyAnAgent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a product of WakimWorks, collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our website and the verification pages we publish (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who this Policy covers
Two groups interact with the Service: agents, who purchase and publish a verification page, and visitors, who view a page to confirm an agent's credentials. This Policy applies to both.
2. Information we collect
Information agents provide to us. To build a verification page, an agent submits information such as their name, business email address, National Producer Number (NPN), state license numbers, the states in which they are licensed, a professional photo and/or agency logo, and optional details such as a short biography or a scheduling link.
Publicly available licensing information. We compile licensing details from public sources, including state Department of Insurance records and the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). This information is already public; we present it in a single, consistent format and link back to the official source.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers; Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and reliability. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Certain third-party features embedded on a page — such as web fonts or a scheduling widget — may receive your IP address or set their own cookies when you interact with them, governed by their own policies.
3. How we use information
- To build, publish, and host an agent's verification page;
- To keep the licensing information shown on a page accurate and current;
- To process payment and manage the agent's account;
- To communicate with agents about their page or account;
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only in these limited ways:
- Publicly, by design. An agent's verification page is public. The professional information an agent submits for the page — name, credentials, photo, and contact details — is intended to be displayed publicly and may be indexed by search engines.
- With service providers (sub-processors) who help us run the Service, including Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Airtable (data storage and management), and Stripe (payments). Each maintains its own privacy and security program.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of VerifyAnAgent, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We keep an agent's information for as long as their verification page is active. If an agent's license lapses, is suspended, or is revoked, or if an agent asks us to remove their page, we remove the page and delete or de-identify the associated information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, and we rely on established providers (AWS, Airtable, Stripe) whose platforms carry their own safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
Agents may request that we correct or remove their information at any time by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
8. Children
The Service is intended for licensed insurance professionals and the members of the public who deal with them. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Third-party sites
Verification pages link to official state Department of Insurance portals, the NIPR registry, and other third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, which are governed by their own policies.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
